The Closing Atelier™ Text Message (SMS) Terms
DRAFT – pending review by counsel. Not yet in effect. Confirm program details with the SMS provider's 10DLC campaign registration before launch.
Program name: The Closing Atelier alerts.
Program: transaction status updates and messages from your real estate agent about your purchase or sale (for example "Inspection completed", "Closing moved to May 14", or a reply to your question). Messages are not marketing.
- Opt-in: you choose to receive texts by checking the box on your status page or the inquiry form, or by texting your agent's number. The box is never pre-checked. Consent is not a condition of buying or selling a home or of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies with your transaction — typically a few messages per week while you are under contract.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT) to stop texts. You will get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again. A plain-words reply such as "stop texting me", "unsubscribe", "opt out", "remove me" or "don't text me" (also in Polish or Spanish) works the same way. You can also opt out from your status page or by telling your agent. The opt-out methods in this section are what the app does today. Counsel still needs to confirm them against FCC 26-67 (released October 1, 2026) before texts are sent to real phones.
- Confirmation text after STOP: "You are unsubscribed from The Closing Atelier alerts and will receive no more texts. Reply START to resubscribe."
- HELP reply: "The Closing Atelier alerts: help at theclosingatelier@gmail.com or contact your agent. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
- Reply HELP for help, or contact your agent or theclosingatelier@gmail.com.
- Quiet hours: automated texts are not sent between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM in your local time.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: your mobile number and opt-in information are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
- Never send money because of a text. WIRE FRAUD WARNING: The Closing Atelier will never send, request, or change wire instructions. Before sending any money, call your attorney or title company directly at a phone number you have independently verified (not one from an email or text). Never act on emailed or texted wire instructions or changes.
Texts you send to your agent's number may be saved to your file's message thread so your agent's records stay complete.
